Works well

It does the jobs that we needed it for. It doesnt like hardwood but it seems to last a long time on a tank of gas. It works as i expected it too, no regrets.

Fresh cut fir and cedar

Pretty good overall, but can’t handle anything bigger than 1-1/2” diameter and even then it’s best to only feed in short moments and hold back until the engine speed picks up again. Also easy to plug with too much soft green tips of branches. Once I learned how to feed it alternating wood and green to blow it out it seems to work fine. Makes a nice little pile from a huge mess of branches and used it as mulch on fruit trees right away. Looks great. Starts on first pull every time. Wish my lawnmower did that. I like the safety stop bar on the in-chute as it makes it feel safe. Took a couple of minutes to feed it without accidentally triggering the auto stop, but after that it didn’t happen again. I kept a pair of big loppers handy to loop off big stiff side branches. Mostly the whole branch goes in one shot.

Great little chipper

I’ve been very pleased with this machine so far. Easy to start and it absolutely vaporizes branches. Only complaint is that there aren’t any assembly instructions with it. It should also have at least basic instructions for changing/ replacing blades. Why aren’t there instructions?

Solid machine - good for yard cleanup

The chipper comes well packaged in a wooden case. Although it is obvious due to the shape of the individual pieces where they go it would be helpful to have some assembly instructions (order) since some of the pieces are quite heavy for one person. My machine had the wires disconnected so trial and error to fit them together not a major issue but maybe there was risk. I was very pleased with the engine. It started before i had pulled the starter cord over half way out....outstanding. It likes green wood. It will do dried branches but they must be fed into align with chipper blades and may not be pulled in. You need to check that when it stops running (you shut if off, runs out of gas) that the chipper feed does not have small (I'm talking finger size) pieces. These will jamb the rotor. Clearing it takes some time undoing bolts. Best approach that i've used is to have a working stick that i use to clean out the chipper feed before i shut it off. It won't due 2+ inch dry wood very well but the rest of materials are handled well. For a small chipper i would recommend it.
