Maintenance Tips for Workbenches 

The ideal height for a workbench typically ranges between 34 to 38 inches (86 to 96 cm), depending on your height and type of work. For general tasks and woodworking, a common guideline is to measure from the floor to your wrist crease when standing with your arms relaxed at your sides. Common workbench heights are around 37 inches for 4-foot and 5-foot benches, 38 to 41 inches for 6-foot and 7-foot benches, and about 41 inches for larger 9-foot and 10-foot benches. 

To securely attach a vise to your workbench, position it at the desired location, typically at the front-left corner for right-handed users. Mark and drill bolt holes through the bench top, align the vise mounting holes, then fasten it securely with heavy-duty bolts, washers, and nuts from underneath. Tighten firmly to ensure stability during heavy usage.
